Minibuses, van and trailerOur minibuses, van and trailer are all ready for miles more adventure with you!
All these vehicles are owned by 1st Walsall Wood Scout Group and join us on many of our adventures; indeed they are part of our scouting family. We also have available a trailer for towing behind our Ford minibus, Vauxhall crew van or other suitable vehicle. Note that since leaving the EU, our minibuses are no longer available for use outside the UK They are also available for YOU* to use as part of your next adventure too! Ford MinibusOur first group minibus (known affectionately as Chief) is a 2009 Ford Transit 15 seater minibus (including driver). Finished in silver and proudly displaying the group's tartan and Scouting logos, he looks very smart and is ready for your trip away. Fitted with three point seatbelts and all the latest safety features, he will accommodate your group in comfort and safety; wherever adventure takes you. Note that Chief is not an equipment vehicle and should not be used as such. Some key features are as follows:
Fiat MinibusOur latest group minibus (known affectionately as the The Duke) is a 2017 Fiat Ducato accessible 17 seater minibus (including driver). Up to eight seats can be removed in order to carry up to two suitable wheelchairs, using the tail lift fitted. Finished in silver and proudly displaying the group's tartan and Scouting logos, he looks very smart and is ready for your trip away. Fitted with three point seatbelts and all the latest safety features, she will accommodate your group in comfort and safety; wherever adventure takes you. Duke is fitted with a Bluetooth audio system, parking sensors and reversing camera. An additional rear heater is fitted to keep passengers warm on the way back from winter camps. Note that The Duke is not an equipment vehicle and should not be used as such. Some key features are as follows:
Vauxhall crew vanWe are pleased to introduce Rosie 2, the successor to our original group van Rosie. Rosie 2 is a Vauxhall Vivaro crew van; a big leap forward from our previous small van. A modern vehicle with all the modern conveniences, seating 6 people with plenty of space for all your kit too, Rosie 2 has many applications. Suitable for kit and people, Rosie 2 has a large load area suitable for tables and all your camping kit, or perhaps just the personal equipment. The cabin seats 6 in comfort over two rows, with air-conditioning, 3 point seatbelts all round, cruise control, electric windows, parking sensors and an MP3 CD player, why not arrive to camp in style!? TrailerWe are also able to offer for hire 'Polly', a box trailer suitable for transporting kit to camp; available separate or as an ideal companion to Chief; our minibus. Please note that drivers require category D1+E in order to tow a trailer with a minibus. Drivers are also expected to have previous towing experience. Some key features are as follows:
